| The serene natural setting of Springhill,
with its trees, hills and lake belies the breadth of diversions just
beyond our campus. The Erie area is culturally rich with art galleries,
dance companies, a Broadway show series, chamber and philharmonic
orchestras, a comedy club and more. The Chautauqua Institution,
the summer season includes nine weeks of world-class lectures, musical
and theatre performances, as well as special summer programs for seniors
and Elderhostel events.
Or, you may choose to root for the Erie SeaWolves baseball team or
the Erie Otters hockey team, play a round of golf or head to Lake Erie
(you can see it from points on our campus!) for boating, fishing,
lighthouse gazing, or a day of birding and picnicking at Presque Isle
State Park. Winter months bring downhill skiing excitement at many
nearby mountains including Peek'n Peak and cross country skiing at
Presque Isle and other parks. Springhill is also just minutes from local
Shopping attractions.
Historic sites include covered bridges, the U.S. Brig Niagara, the
Erie Maritime Museum and the Lakeshore Railway Museum.
