As the first continuing care retirement community to recieve accreditation by CARF-CCAC in northwestern Pennsylvania, Springhill is proud to set the standard for exceptional retirement living. Awarded a five year term of accreditation by CARF-CCAC in 2008, we remain committed to our mission of raising expectations for what senior living can be.
An accreditation from the CARF-CCAC, or Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities - Continuing Care Accreditation Commission, means an independent survey team evaluated Springhill and found it in compliance with more than 600 measures of quality, including financial indicators that relate to a community’s long-term viability. This is a designation that just 13 percent of the nation's CCRCs hold. Once a community has earned accreditation, it participates in a review of financial indicators each year and accommodates an on-site evaluation by a survey team every five years. Beginning in 2012, all five Asbury communities – including Springhill – embarked on the same five-year cycle of accreditation. Through this, Asbury communities will accelerate their learning, with each community challenging and supporting the others to improve processes and better serve those who call Asbury home.
